The Lobby by Greyhouse commemorates grand opening

The Lobby by Greyhouse officially commemorated its grand opening with a GLC milestone ceremony attended by local dignitaries.

The Lobby offers brunch, lunch, shareables and craft cocktails and mocktails, along with the trademark Greyhouse expresso, tea and doughnuts.

“Having the opportunity to join commerce on the other side of the river in Lafayette has been a wonderful experience for us,” Allison Wisthuff, managing director of The Lobby. “This is a gathering space for our community. Before and after events, for dinner, for breakfast, for brunch to celebrate things, to have meetings and to have a place where everyone feels welcome.”

Located at 526 Main Street in downtown Lafayette, the Lobby was founded as an extension of Greyhouse Coffee & Supply Co., which is based in West Lafayette

“Congratulations from your home in West Lafayette. I can already see it’s a hit,” said Sana Booker, City Clerk of West Lafayette.

Added Indiana State Representative, Sheila Klinker: “Thank you so much for your investment. I’m delighted to be here. I wish you great success.”

Greyhouse was founded in 2008 by Campus House, a church community on Purdue’s campus, with the hope of creating a welcome place for the Greater Lafayette community to gather over a cup of coffee.

“On behalf of the City of Lafayette, we want to congratulate you. We want to thank all the folks who were involved. There is a lot of activity going on on Main Street, and that’s exactly what we want,” said Mayor of the City of Lafayette, Tony Roswarski.
