It's no secret that since the emergence of e-commerce many retailers have struggled to attract and retain customers. This has led to a downturn in sales and to what has been called "The Retail Apocalypse". Greater Lafayette Commerce knows that one of the keys to a vibrant community is a thriving downtown with restaurant and retail businesses.
The Storefront Strategies Retail Summit is a half-day event designed to bring experts in various fields together so that retailers can gather new tools to grow and continue being successful.
During the summit, we will present the findings of consumer experience research along with practical applications that retailers can implement in their stores.
Additionally, the summit will include group sessions regarding Building a Social Media Brand, and Place-making (how to work with the city, architects, etc.). The summit will include six breakout-style events on the following topics: Interior Design, Merchandising, Customer Service, Popups and Collaboration, Sourcing Local Products, and Restaurant Optimization.
Lauren Roa, Senior Director of Merchandising and Retail for Indiana Pacers
Polly Barks, Social Media Influencer
The event will conclude with a popup and collaboration/reception, where restaurants and retailers may showcase their products. The reception will include a cash bar.
