Nominations are now open for the 2025 ATHENA® Leadership Award, a prestigious recognition celebrating individuals who demonstrate excellence in their profession, contribute to their community and actively mentor and support the leadership development of women.

The winners of the ATHENA® award will be recognized at the 2025 Greater Lafayette Commerce Annual Celebration at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds.
The ATHENA® Leadership Award is presented in partnership between Greater Lafayette Commerce, the Association of Women Business Owners (AWBO) and Ladies Lunch Network (LLN). This is the fourth annual presentation of this award.
About the Award
The ATHENA® Award is presented to an individual who is recognized for professional excellence, for providing valuable service to the community and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. The ATHENA® Award highlights what Recipients have accomplished in addition to paving a path for future successes.
The award is established through local host organizations in partnership with ATHENA’s national underwriters, local businesses and individual sponsors. By honoring exceptional leaders, the ATHENA Award Program seeks to inspire others to achieve excellence.

Criteria
ATHENA® Leadership Award Nominees will be rated on the following criteria:
- Demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in their business or profession.
- Provide valuable service to improve the quality of life for others in their community.
- Actively assist women in achieving their full leadership potential.
- Demonstrate The Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership™ in all aspects of their life:

- Give Back
- Celebrate
Qualifications
- Nominees must live and have done the majority of their work in the Greater Lafayette Region.
- Nominees may represent either the profit or not-for-profit sector.
- Previous ATHENA Leadership Award Recipients are not eligible for nomination; however, past nominees may be nominated again.
- There is no minimum or maximum age qualification that must be met by ATHENA Leadership Award Nominees.
