White County Golf Tournament to Support the American Red Cross

The 12th annual golf tournament to benefit the American Red Cross in White County will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Pine View Golf Course in Monticello, IN.

The event starts at noon with lunch and a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. Festivities include a silent auction, a raffle and a chance to win a 2012 Chrysler 300, generously provided by Hendrickson Chrysler Dodge Jeep.

Please register as teams of four. The cost is $50/player or $200/team. To register, please visit www.lafayetteredcross.org or contact the Red Cross at 765-742-6975.

The day will also include a Helicopter Golf Ball Drop. We are dropping 500 golf balls from a helicopter over a hole at Pine View Golf Course. The owner of the ball that lands in or closest to the hole will be entered in a trivia contest with a Grand Prize of $500. Raffle tickets are on sale now for $5 each. Need not be present to win. Tickets are available at the Red Cross chapter located at 615 N 18th Street in Lafayette, IN.

All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. The Tippecanoe Chapter has responded to 5 fires in the last week and a half including fires in Romney, Delphi and Lafayette and at Copper Beech Townhomes. We are providing financial assistance for 20 victims to meet their immediate needs. The Red Cross also provides water, coffee, food and snacks for emergency responders at the emergency scenes.

All disaster relief services are provided free of charge. The American Red Cross is not a government funded agency and relies on donations of time and money to fulfill our mission.
