Joseph Seaman – President and Chief Executive Officer  

Joseph Seaman serves as President and CEO of GLC.   He coordinates the strategic plans within GLC and oversees all implementation.  Joe reports to our Board of Directors and fosters a strong relationship between the Board and the six different organizations that comprise GLC.   As the leader of our organization, Joe strives to continue the mission of supporting the businesses, organizations and individuals who make Greater Lafayette a strong and successful community.

Jackie Franklin – Director, Finance and Operations

Jackie Franklin is Director of Finance & Operations for Greater Lafayette Commerce.  She is responsible for the accounting functions of multiple entities, including GLC, Lafayette – West Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Greater Lafayette Community Development Corporation, Lafayette Urban Enterprise Association, and MatchBOX LLC.  As a member of the Executive Staff, she also oversees all human resources functions and serves as the Office Manager. In April 2013, she celebrated her 20th year with the organization.

Dennis Carson – Director, Downtown Development 

Dennis Carson serves as Executive Director of the Lafayette Urban Enterprise Association, and spends his time being a champion for Downtown Lafayette.  He engages the public and downtown stakeholders for community and economic change and disruption. He plays a key role in the planning and development of summer festivals.  Dennis is also co-creator of MatchBOX, Lafayette's first coworking studio - a shared space to work and create.

Jody Hamilton – Director, Economic and Community & Workforce Development 

Jody Hamilton serves as the Economic Development Director for GLC.  She has worked in the economic development field for 18 years with a strong focus on business retention, expansion and attraction.  Jody serves on the Indiana’s Technology Corridor as a member, which is a nine county regional marketing collaboration to attract businesses to Greater Lafayette.  She is also an active member of several professional organizations in the Greater Lafayette Area, including the YWCA Board of Directors. Also serves as the secretary of the Indiana Economic Development Association Board as well as the Program Committee Chair.

Erin Nelson – Director, Chamber and Quality of Life 

Erin oversees the Chamber of Commerce council and Quality of Life council. The Chamber is an advocacy and education focused council supporting business interests in the Greater Lafayette area. The Quality of Life council seeks to make strategic improvements in the community, from diversity to sustainable practices and a healthy town and gown relationship, to attract and retain the best employers and employees for a rich community life.   Erin joined GLC in 2009 as a program manager.  She stepped into the role of Director of Chamber & Quality of Life in 2013.

Pete Wagoner – Director, Existing Industry Support 

Pete Wagoner is Director of Industry Support at GLC.  Pete facilitates the Wabash Valley Lean Network and Senior Leadership Network programs, which provide shared learning opportunities for businesses to learn how others are solving similar operational problems, while becoming more competitive in today’s marketplace. Pete also offers one-to-one consulting services to help identify potential improvements in management systems and technology that would increase productivity.

Jerry Holsapple – Loan Manager, Capital Resources Council 

Jerry Holsapple is the Loan Manager of the Capital Resources Council.  He oversees a small portfolio of loans, whose focuses are to help facilitate the creation of jobs and improve the tax base.  These are normally “gap” loans to help with business down payments or relocations expenses, but because they are totally privately funded, Jerry has the flexibility to use them in any prudent manner to further the mission of GLC.  He is also the contact person for our local SCORE chapter, where he helps coordinate a group of experienced business professionals who counsel and mentor small business owners. SCORE is a national program sponsored by the Small Business Administration.

Resa Hodnett – Program Manager, Membership 

Resa Hodnett is the face of membership for GLC.  Since 2010 she has acted as the Membership Program Manager and is responsible for acquisition and retention of members. She is the staff liaison for the fabulous Ambassador Committee and also the staff representative for Association of Women Business Owners. Resa can help answer questions about maximizing your GLC Membership Benefits as well as recommend ways to plug into the organization. Talk to Resa to find out why membership matters!

Lauren Davis – Program Manager, Economic & Community Development 

Lauren Davis is the Economic and Community Development Program Manager. Lauren handles various programs that relate to economic development, including Advancing Manufacturing, Hometown2Hometown, an annual career fair, and a student exchange program with our sister city, Ota, Japan.  Lauren also oversees programs related to community development, including Lemonade Day and Industrial Luncheon.

Kim Murray – Program Manager, Community Events 

Kim Murray brought her event planning and marketing background to GLC as the Community Events Program Manager in 2011.  Kim is responsible for various community events hosted by Greater Lafayette Commerce, including the Annual Golf Outing, Dancing in the Streets Festival, Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival, Dickens of a Christmas and the Christmas Parade.

Sara Yelich – Program Manager, Small Business 

Sara Yelich is responsible for all things downtown. From small business development to the Farmer’s Market, she is the main point-of-contact for any downtown or small business-related question, concern, or idea.  She oversees the Small Business of the Month Program and the annual Small Business of the Year reception. Sara is also the staff liaison for the Education and University Relation Committees, where she assists with the Golden Apple and Career Tech Award Programs, as well as the Community Activity Recognition Awards.

Kathryn Byrd – Program Assistant Manager 

Kathryn Byrd is a Program Assistant Manager, where she coordinates events as well as provides day-to-day administrative support.  Kathryn is the primary contact for Ribbon Cutting, Ground Breaking, and Anniversary Ceremonies, as well as Eggs N Issues and Business After Hours events. She is also responsible for planning our Annual Dinner, Business Expo, and represents GLC at the Diversity Roundtable.

Ashely Scott – Operations Manager, MatchBOX 

Ashley is passionate about building communities and serving as a resource for individuals interested in launching a career in tech. Ashley serves as Operations Manager for MatchBOX Coworking Studio where she works to cultivate an environment that supports budding entrepreneurs as they launch small businesses in Greater Lafayette.

Joan Matson – Accounting Assistant 

Joan Matson is the Accounting Assistant for GLC.  She is responsible for maintaining accounts payable.  She also provides accounting support to program managers and office staff relating to events and budgets.  Additionally, Joan assists with membership and can assist members with questions about events and invoices.  She provides administrative support in the office intermittently, as well.

Nancy Sells – Communications Specialist 

Nancy Sells is the Communications Specialist at GLC.  Nancy is responsible for keeping our database up-to-date, and developing content for social media and our website. She also keeps our members informed by collecting articles and sending out our bi-monthly newsletter, and sending out email blasts regarding our upcoming GLC events. Nancy also assists with communication to the Wabash Valley Lean and Senior Leadership Networks.

Erin Hamrick – Administrative Assistant 

Erin Hamrick  provides the office with administrative support on a day-to-day basis by handling event registration and member support. Erin works closely with our Board of Directors and Councils, and serves as the liaison between our organization and the Greater Lafayette community.

Karla Courtney - Community Events Intern 

Karla Courtney is the Community Events Intern.  She is a Communications major at Purdue and began her internship at GLC in May 2013.  Karla works closely with the event committees on planning the summer festivals, annual golf outing, and assists with overseeing the day-of production of our community events.   She also provides administrative support for the office and staff.
