Description
"Honor our past, help us build the future. - Join the Inclusion Revolution." This semester, we have had the privilege of partnering with Boiler Communication, the Brian Lamb School of Communication’s student-run public relations firm at Purdue University. We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a kickoff event on Tuesday, November 27 at Northend Community Center. Families and children ages eight and up are welcome! Interested athletes and their parents are welcome to learn more about our program and how to get involved. Snacks, games, prizes, and FUN will be provided! This event will give parents the opportunity to learn more about the organization and the benefits of joining, as well as the chance to mingle with other families. Interested athletes will get to participate in a variety of activities, including basketball, relay races, and face painting! Participants will also have the opportunity to win some awesome prizes. Additionally, if you bring a friend interested in participating in Special Olympics with you to the event, you will receive extra tickets to increase your chance of winning! At the event, families will have a chance to sign up for Special Olympics Indiana - Tippecanoe County’s newsletter to receive further information about upcoming events and opportunities. For more details and information, contact Abigail Kuenster at akuenste@purdue.edu. Athletes who are already involved with Special Olympics Indiana - Tippecanoe County are also welcome to attend the event, and all questions that current athletes have can be emailed to Jennifer Chalmers at sotippe@gmail.com.
