Legislative Update 2021 Session 1

Greater Lafayette Commerce’s Third House connects business, industry, and community leaders with our State Senators and Legislators during the Indiana Legislative Session. It’s your place to get the inside scoop on what’s happening in Indianapolis directly from our legislators and a chance for you to engage with them about legislation that impacts you.

Designed to help our legislators understand the top needs and priorities of Greater Lafayette, the six 2021 sessions will be held virtually to protect our community from the spread of Covid-19.

How it will work:

During the virtual meetings, our legislators will each get a chance to share what has recently happened at the Indiana Statehouse and what bills they are working on or will be coming up in their committees or for vote on the floor. Participants of the online sessions will get a chance to ask questions and separate break rooms with the legislators, replicating a live a event. Members of the Steering Committee and Greater Lafayette Commerce staff will facilitate those break out rooms and periodically survey the participants for their opinions on various bills and budget line items.

Meeting days through the course of the legislative session will vary between Friday and Saturday to allow maximum participation.
