Everyone has something unique and valuable to share, and we’re shining a spotlight to stories of hard work, brilliant ideas, and creative projects. You don’t have to be anyone or anything in particular to share what you know with us. The event is free and open to the public, come as you are and connect with the ideas and people making things happen in Greater Lafayette! At 645, our guests share their stories in just 6 minutes and 45 seconds. Join us for a night celebrating the human experience and local creative spirit. Presenters this month include: Stevie Wimmer, Alicia South-Hurt, Massimiliano Giorgini, and Claire Tchoula of Sheeza. 31 Days, 31 Drawings presented by Alicia South-Hurt Every October, artists all over the world take on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month and post them online. Created by artist Jake Parker in 2009, his mission was to focus on improving skills and developing positive drawing habits. When you focus on behaviors that you can control, you can develop plans and take action. Learning to change habits creates a positive mindset that can carry into other interests and daily life. Remember, you don’t get good at something that you never do. Musical performance featuring Claire "Sheeza" Tchoula. Nominated for BEST LOCAL BAND by Lafayette's Journal Courier 2018 Reader's choice awards, Sheeza is a Midwest rock & soul band from Lafayette, IN whose resonant original music is complemented by soulful harmonies, dynamic rhythms, cello, and alto saxophone. Sheeza's name is an intentional misspelling of "she's a...". Sheeza's name and "lips" logo pay homage to female empowerment and leadership. Led and curated by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist, Claire "Sheeza" Tchoula, Sheeza has experienced exciting positive, & noteworthy public response on both a local and regional level, performing for countless festivals, and opening for popular artists such as Neon Hitch and En Vogue. Claire "Sheeza" Tchoula invites 645 to explore the inner workings of the band and her role as leader and curator by sharing their story, music, and message. This time we’re taking 645 out to 6th St Dive! Check here for details of the ideas we'll be featuring!
