The first 2010 meeting of the Greater Lafayette Venture Club is scheduled for Friday, May 14 at the Kurz Purdue Technology Center located at 1281 Win Hentschel Blvd., West Lafayette.  The meeting includes lunch and will feature two presentations on stem cell research as summarized below:

 

1. “Medicine, Matrix and Stem Cells” by Michael Hiles, vice president for Research and Clinical Affairs, Cook Biotech Incorporated, and

 

2.  A discussion of commercial business opportunities that are emerging from stem cell research presented by Michael Byers, vice president of Renovocyte, LLC.

 

Your Venture Club Steering Committee has decided to broaden the luncheon presentations to include informative presentations on emerging technologies with strong future investment appeal as well as our traditional business plan presentations by local companies seeking new investments.   

We also want to increase the number of club members.  Toward that end, we invite all our paid members to bring one guest compliments of the club, to the May 14 luncheon.  We also encourage you to tell your friends about the Venture Club and of the opportunity to join.
