In 2006, a number of autonomous, local community-based, economic development organizations came together to form Greater Lafayette Commerce—because it made perfect sense. Economic Development Council: Matches businesses looking to start up or expand in Greater Lafayette with the resources and opportunities that will facilitate their growth.
Downtown Development Council: Through business development and events management, works to ensure and advance the vitality of downtown Lafayette–West Lafayette.
Capital Resource Council: Provides financial and technical assistance to Greater Lafayette area businesses and real estate projects.
Chamber of Commerce Council: Promotes and fosters commercial prosperity for its local business members and the Greater Lafayette community as a whole.
Workforce Development Council: Supports Greater Lafayette businesses with information and technical assistance in the effort to recruit, train, develop and retain employees.
